The most important is to learn clutch control. When I was taught I had to be able to make the car move without any throttle. Once you learn that hills and stop lights are no problem.

every body makes fun of the auto , but IMO I'd rather have the 2 extra cyl than the 1 extra pedal, I hope the stick makes you happy enough to justify all the heartache you went through to get your order the way you wanted it, the customer is always right

when i was looking at insurance it was only like a 15$/month more for a GT compared to sixxer

Oh jeez stop with the extra cyclinders stuff....
He is getting the CAR HE WANTS!
Congrats man enjoy it and the more you drive it the quicker you'll get used to the stick/clutch.
So I'm guessing that when it arrives you get plenty of pratice.

At least he's being smart and knowing he cant afford the extra cost of a GT, be it price+gas+insurance. Shows some responsiblity. I see people all the time jump into buying a car they cannot afford.

exactly, i mean damn when i was at the dealership i wanted nothing other than to take the key for a GT,but i would have probably ended up with a $500/month plan and that just didnt sit well with me. combined with slghtly higher insurace costs i would have been at about $200-250 more a month. could i have gotten by like that? sure..but i didnt want to put myself in a situation where i may find myself having troubles getting thigns paid if something bad happens, between the car,insurance,rent all the stuff...im a single guy living on my own so its only 1 income.

now in 5 years when this v6 is paid off, i wont settle for anything less than a GT
