the point on limited top end is iffy. the car is limited now by drag. the question is, will new gears provide greater torque to push the car beyond its drag limit on stock gears? here's my experience. i used to top out in 4th w/ the 3.55's, prolly about 150. switch to 5th and the rpm doesnt move. now with 4.10's 4th only goes to about 125,5th will bury the needle at 145, but the rpm's will climb. still, 5th is a slower gear so the question remains, does the car have enough torque w/ 4.10's in 5th gear to go beyond what the 3.55's do in 4th? i feel like i might be getting a few mph more outta the 4.10's top speed wise, but i cant say for sure. also, the accelleration is downright bad ***! go 4.10's and never look back. the 2mpg you lose on fuel consumption is well worth the smile this puts on your face. keep in mind, when you sell the car you will have to sell it with the tuner and the tune loaded since this is how you adjust the gear ratio, or you will have to revert to stock, or i think one other option is to have a shop recalibrate your ratio that way you can return the car to stock otherwise (cai, tune, etc...). hope this helps.
