Dex, are you talking about the block that inserts down in the stock linkage or a new shifter?

It is shorter, but it retains certain features of the stock shifter that I don't care for. I only have a couple hundred miles on my car and I already want something better.

You should have replaced those stock rubber bushings with Poly ones.
No wonder you hate it. [:'(]

the short throw paired with steeda's shifter bushings really firm it up nicely. the "firmness" of the shift is dependent on how much you tighten the bolt you apply loctite to.

I wouild not recommend leaving the bolt with the
loctite loose to gain smoothness to the feel. The
bolt must be tightened up to specs or the block
will wear out from it being loose and made from
aluminum.

I don't think replacing bushings was an option when I bought the car. Maybe I missed the Bushing Upgrade Package though.

And I don't hate it, it does exactly what it says it'll do for a good price if you're buying something aftermarket. But if I was going to the trouble to take stuff apart and put some new parts in, it would probably be something else.
