I had my gears installed at the same time I loaded a tune in the car - picked up 0.5 seconds in the 1/4 mile with the combo. No CAI at this time...

I actually have very good input on this question. My first mod was the CAI and tune (Brenspeed 93 octane, C&L street), and I picked up over a half second with that alone. A very good friend of mine has an '07 GT, and his first mod was a set of 4.10s. He picked up not quite two tenths of a second. Same track conditions for both of us (we always go to the track together). I would estimate our driving ability to be about equal as we have both been down the dragstrip at least a couple hundred times.

Everybody needs the basic Cai/Tune with gears. That's a give me here. I bet if you race thats just the normal bolt ons that are standard.
