I tried to take the headrests off this morning (to install some seatbelt retainers), but couldn't get them to come completely off. they raised up about 2 notches, but i could not for the life of me get them all the way out. i had the little button pressed in and i pulled fairly hard, but they wouldn't budge. did i miss something or should i just pull harder? (i was afraid of damaging them or setting off the airbag).

You need to depress the release pin with a paper clip, or something along that line. Check the opposite side from the side where you are pushing the button.....

yeah there is a tiny hole on the opposite side you have to put something like a paperclip as described above to release the head rest...
