What ya'll think?

RE: What ya'll think?
Try an H pipe and resonators. I ditched the X and went back to the old reliable H and paired that with a set of MBRP axel back SS resonators. They look great and sound sick. Very close in sound to the 5.0 drum bass, especially riding close to curbs and walls.

If you buy exhaust remember most of us here are on our 3rd or 4th exhaust.. I'm on my 4th and last setup, so what I'm sayin is don't fall in love. I've never like the o/r X sound so I'd pass on it if I were you...

exhaust is like Ford/Chevy thing. some like loud, some like mellow. It's all in what you like. I have a friend with a 427 SOHC in a T-Bucket with Zoomie headers and 8 VW exhaust tips stuck in the headers. Sounds like a 747 in full afterburner. The ground shakes when he steps on it.

as the resident exhaust guru, let me put it like this.
mustang guys usually like loud, mustang guys like a little raw, unrefined-ness.
but the sound produced by this setup is one that almost noone can appreciate. i personally, would love a loud combination, if i had a choice i'd drive a 69 camaro with a 13:1 big block with nothing more than race mufflers standing between the exhuast valves and the general public. but an offroad x pipe with slp loudmouths on an s197 is a setup that sounds absolutely disgusting, makes my skin crawl.

i've heard the combo in person once, and it was literally painful to listen to. someone revved up at a car show, and everyone was like covering their ears, old musclecar guys were like "gad thats awful!"..............its not a sound anybody can appreciate.
