The stock doors weigh roughly 150lbs a piece -- the Carbon Fiber doors are something like 26lbs a piece ... so the weight reduction alone would be great -- only if the windows would work [:@]. The doors were ment for a race application not a DD... Seibon will tell you differnent but don't be fooled. You can also ask Ernie from HCM ... he'll tell you basically the same thing (fitment sucks and no power windows).

Thanks for posting the pic tnstang06. I always wondered what that model Seibon looked like on car. Pretty wild looking. People do check out the carbon hoods, I get looks and comments all the time. A guy at the gas station the other night asked me "is that some custom job?" lol!

The doors do save a lot of weight. I've heard over 300lbs. But the power windows don't work with them and I wouldn't want to experience a t-bone crash with only that between myself and the other car [].

Here's a pic of my car/hood. It really didn't save any weight over the stock one. I swapped them both out by myself. They're both really lightweight.

im not looking to save weight. those carbon fiber doors and trunk cost an arm and leg anyways.
Then why do it? Personally, I don't think they make your car look any better. If anything they make it look mismatched.

If you get it, I was going to make the suggestion that you paint it the same color as the car (assuming you were trying to save weight).

Better to put your money towards the CF doors, or even the trunk lid. More weight is saved.
Supporting vendor here We sell Seibon CF Hoods, doors and trunk lids. Hoods from $576 (OEM style), doors $1996, and trunk lids from $632.32 (OEM Style).

According to Seibon, the CF parts are roughly 40% lighter than OEM.

Hope this helps some

Real Carbon Fiber isn't cheap ... thats just the way it is... I would def have to agree and paint it or lay a color matched vinyl over it.

Wow, those look like great prices. I'm considering the trunk lid myself.

Yeah, I was lucky to have an Alloy color car which the carbon fiber blends perfectly with. I'd pass on the doors even if the windows did work. No way I'm putting any material except steel between myself and the idiots driving in my city. Now if I had a roll cage. hmmmm....[8D]
