hey all i just got my pypes o/r x pipe in the mail from american muscle (for 05 gt)

ive heard rumors of getting a check engine light on a stock tune??

is this true?? i want to install it tomorrow but dont know if it will screw up my car!

please someone help me out im dying to put it on!

also if it does throw a light, what will i need to fix it? im pretty sure theres no way im taking it to a dealership like that, and im pretty much broke, so itll take me a couple weeks to get enough for a CAI and tune if thats what i need

Im not sure if it comes on for all Stangs but I know you can turn that sensor of with a tuner

Its a hassle CEL no harm being done, you just can shut it off with a tuner or turn the sensors off completely in the tune sometimes.

alright well it will be done this weekend then. i may post up a vid later on (pypes mid muffler and the pypes o/r x pipe)

ill buy the CAI and tune when i have the monies....any suggestions? im thinking of going with jlt or sct

+1 on turning off the Rear 02 sensors, if you have the SCT Tuner, just scroll down toRear 02 Sensors, click "off". End of Problem.
