REPLACING STOCK HEADLAMP BULBS
Is it possible to simply change the stock bulbs to halogen or xenon bulbs without having to buynew $250 headlights? I just want a whiter light without having to replace the whole headlight... Does the fact that stock headlights are vented play any factor?

RE: REPLACING STOCK HEADLAMP BULBS
you can get silverstars for fogs and headlights...but just to point out, the stocks are halogen, xenon is an HID bulb, which requires new wiring and a ballast for each operational function of the light.... I would suggest getting silverstars for you.

I want the newlightto be close to the hue of the PIAA lights so that when both headlights and PIAA lights are on there's not 2 different lighting factors... like some kind of rave goin on in front of my car

RE: REPLACING STOCK HEADLAMP BULBS
On my previous PT cruiser I had Silverstars... looked as clean of white as you can get. They were definately a good investment. Not to mention that the visability was increased over the stock from the brightness by about 30% more.
They, in my own opinion, are worth the money and I probably wouldn't spend more time or money on doing anything else with the headlights except get a pair of those. Easy install on my previous car, but had to actually remove the wheels because my car was dropped so damn low. On the mustang I am not too familiar with where you need to get into to change out the bulb... I'd assume you could do it through the engine compartment (instead of the wheel well like my pt).

RE: REPLACING STOCK HEADLAMP BULBS
I have PIAA fogs in extreme white and they are awesome. I replaced the stock halogen lights with the Silverstars and the light though not as bright as the fogs is much whiter compared to stock! You will be happy! I will eventually get HID's but want many other performance mods now that I have the Whipple.....like rear suspension and gears...anyway hope it helps J
