anyway to retain stock shift knob with hurst shifter?

I have the Hurst/FRPP and it came with a lever that lets you use the stock ****.

I have the stick for the stock shifter ****. Found it at JEGS. Can't remember the part number, but if you call Hurst they'll give it to you.

Only small problem is that I did such a good job torquing down the chrome stick with blue thread locker that I cannot remove it! If anyone has a suggestion for removing it I'd appreciate it.

does this stick for the stock shifter **** also reduce the height to stock size?if you still have the packaging for your new one,what is the model number so i can order me one?
