Shelby Billet Grill
Hey all,
First post, I am wondering if anyone has this grill and what they think of it.

I just ordered the CS front and rear fascia and I am wanting to add black billet grilles for the upper and lower. I looked at the CDC billet grill and it looks great, but I also want the lower grill so I've been looking a the Shelby ones. I plan on moving the the fogs to the lower grill opening as soon as Shelby releases the kit (early spring 08)for it. Anyway I was just wondering if anyone had this grill and what they thought of the quality and fit.

I'm pretty sure that the Shelby grills only come in silver, jut giving you a heads up. As for quality, I can say that the fit and finish is very respectable. If need be you can go to a local dealer that has a Shelby Gt as the grill of that car is the same as what you are interested in.

I have the polished upper grill. There are 2 things I don't like about it. First, it doesn't come with the tri-bar emblem so I bought the emblem somewhere else. Also, it requires cutting your factory grill to install it. I didn't want to do this so I made my own mounts for it. The way that I mounted it makes it sit further back in the recess, I didn't like it at first but tit has grown on me and I think it looks mean.
I'd attach a pic but I don't have any that look good. They all make the grill look like it's bent which it isn't.

They sell a housing for it now so you don't have to cut up your original. From what I see the housing is made for the grill so you don't see a cut up GT grill behind it. I guess the housing/grill combo comes on the08 Shelby GT. The first link I posted was for the grill and the housing (see pic in link).
