Just to update

he is asking for 12,000. I am not sure if this is good. the car has been at least partially restored. rear quarterpanels filled and primed.
got hood and trunk in good condition from another car. sandblasted and primed from rear quarters forward. engine/trans rebuilt.
was a 289 bored to a 302. thanks again for any input. i would hate to lose out on a piece of history but want to make the right call

Personally I would stick with the 2005GT its faster and safer and more fuel proficent.
It's not faster. Even if it has a 289 in it, it's going to be as fast or faster. The bullitt car had a 390 in it. The 280's in the '05's are great but they just can't compare. It's like trying to compare a ls1 to a 454.
