what do you all think about this

I'm considering getting a blackout panel and this one is priced just right. The honeycomb ones would be too hard to clean, IMO. You would need a brush to get into the corners of those honeycombs.

i looked at the honeycomb ones from silverhourse and those are nice but i thought 130 dollers for molded plastic is a bit much and they did seem hard to keep clean

I have the magnetic blackout. Love the look. It was a no brainer for me. "easy on...easy off". Haven't had any issues with scratches...lucky I guess. They do talk about moisture problems. Says you should remove after rain and washes. Well I have to admit I rarely remove it and I've had it for a year now. Take it off every now and then to check out the paint. The paint's still shining like the sun...couple of pics attached.

Well, if I were you I'd either get honeycomb or just order vinyl blackouts (actual 3M Sticky decals) and do it. I'm not a huge fan of magnetic modifications.

On the little flier that came with it they mentioned the moisture issues. I really don't think it would ever be a problem unless you're in really bad conditions and you're one of those people that doesn't take care of anything, ever. Even still, I didn't really like it. I'm weird like that. One scratch on that matte finish too and you can see it from really really far away. If you put that together with the semi-frequent removal it just didn't seem like the solution for me.
The honeycomb has been fine to clean so far, in about six months it's never been a problem. Some moderately high pressure water and no scrubbing keeps it nice and clean. If you do it with filtered water you don't even need to dry it, a quick jaunt on the freeway at 75 and you get a dry, streak-free shine.

thats bad ***..it's exactly how I want the center on mine to look like.
I want to get a different lower bumper though..never been a fan of the molded cut outs over the exhuast tips.
