Shaker 500 "hiss"
Anyone have, or know anything about, a low level "hiss" on Shaker 500 system? It's audible even when the volume is all the way down and the power is on - in fact, the volume control does not do anything to the sound, it stays the same.I originally thought it was coming from my iPod connection but it's audible regardless of input selected.
You can't hear it with car running (obviously!).

I think it's sort of normal. Mine does it very slightly when it is turned off but goes away when turned on and music is playing. I think it is the sub-woofers staying powered up. No big deal to me.

Avic Z1 or D3 ftw.
In either case. The hiss is normal for MOST amps + speakers + head units. You still have electricity running through the unit and most headunits/makers don't invest the money to put in propper dampening modules. Some are better than others.
Turning the system off kills the flow of electricity and therefore you won't get the hiss, but you'll also have to turn it on if you wanna hear anything.. DUR.
Enjoy the Hisser500. I'm gonna be getting a Z1 the second I have the money for it.
