It's not done in the transmission, but the rear end of your car. Also, some would argue to get 3.73 for an auto versus 4.10 for the stick. I believe it has to do with a taller gear(s) on a stick
Naa. Go with 4.30 or 4.56.

So what would be better for my 05 auto GT 4.30 or 4.56 what would give me a greater boost/?

Hmm..i may be wrong here bazele but i believe he was messing wit ya when he said go with the 4.30 and 4.56 You don't need to go that high. Stick with the 4.10's or even the 3.73 i have been told is the best with you auto guys. And the "boost" you are refering to is the new kick you'll feel from your stang with the gears installed.

No hes not messing with ya. He has 4.30's which in my opinions is way to much gear. Go 4.10's stick, 3.73's auto. And all gears do is make your acceleration quicker.
