Where to put my Garmin GPS

RE: Where to put my Garmin GPS
You can pull out center vents a bit and fit a Plexiglass {1/4 inch} under them, takes a jig saw and some filing to get right shape. Gives a good solid mount point with power right below.
[ Had mine up in left corner of windshield, but was to cluttered when SOS gauge pod added, and the centre of windshield was to far away you have to reach to touch or hear it ]
Mounted between vents found that since I'm right handed it was easier to touch screen, GPS mount arm moves unit out and close to you so easy to see, also you can turn it so passenger can watch or program while you drive. I leave GPS mounted on PlexiGlass all the time and just put it up when wanted takes 10 seconds to pull vents out a bit slip plexiglass under an plug in.
Plus you get to make it yourself !

just mounted my Nuvi 660 on the windshield, perfect fit. i was gonna buy the bean bag mount, but it fits great like it is.
also, i would like to say, whoever put that power outlet at the top of the center console is my new favorite person... makes it easy to use my FM Traffic antenna.

Forddude, I live in SoCal and have my GPS in the center of the window low, so it is just about sitting on the dash, easy to reach and see. It doesn't obstruct my view while driving. I drive all over SoCal for work and knock on wood(knocking on my head) I have had no issues.

I mounted mine on the left side of my front windshield. But really considering using the sticky backed disc mount and putting it on the center vent thing. Anyone have a how to for the plexi glass one they made?
