Every 3K for me. Could the Mobil 1 full synthetic I run go longer? Sure. But it's inexpensive peace of mind.

at 6 months i only had 2500 miles so i changed it then. i plan on changing every 3k or 6mos, whichever comes first.

They had a guy post up couple weeks ago that he already put 100k miles on his 06' GT. If I remember correctly he put like 125 miles each way to work every day and changed his oil every 12k with Mobil 1 supersyn.

I would definitely call that "severe service" and it's still running strong!

He changed the oil "over 20" times so that's about every 5k miles with Mobil 1 5w20. Should last forever...

I usually go to the dealership and they change the oil every 3000 miles.

Changing oil more often than needed just wastes oil and lines the oil companies pockets. Back in the 60's & 70's, you change straight weight oil at 10K! Surely today's engine and oil technology can match that.
