I like them extra sticky..tires of course
I am ordering 17x10.5 wheels for the rear specifically for track use only. I am looking for the best tires for track use only that fit these wheels. I am currently looking at the Nitto NT01 P315/35Z/R17. What advice do you track tire guru's have? Thanks

ET Streets---bias ply...26x11x17

Im assuming by track you mean strip (drag) not roadcourse and that you want street legal tires?
The ET Streets are the best street legal drag tires in 17".
They are essentially bias ply drag slicks with a couple of grooves cut in them.
The M&H Cheater Slick is pretty good to but isnt available in 17".
They do have the usual slick habit of a little top end sway.
The ET Street Radials are more like street tires that have been optimized for drag use.
No top end sway but they are heavier and dont have as much ultimate traction.
Depending on your power this may be a non-issue.
26x11.50x17 (275/40R17) or 28x11.50x17 (295/45R17) depending on your gearing.
I have heard conflicting information about whether the 28's are still available.
I like the 28's if your geared for them
