Default RE: Xcal3 - Another One Bites the Dust!

Update!:
SCT was able to load all new software on my unit via remote PC access.
It took some work but they got it done. It took nearly 2 hours work including testing in my car.
Some because of issues with my PC, and some because they were trying very hard to save my info.
I did not get all of my stock tune on my download but they were able to.
They do have the ability to "rebuild" the stock tune but prefer to save theOEM if at all possible.
So I have my Stock Tune and my JLT 93 Race. They are only able to recover the custom tune currently in the car.
Sounds backwords but thats the way it is. So unfortunately I did lose my Perf and Torq Tunes.
I will have Doug email me those and I will be back 100%

Thank You SCT!:
For excellent customer service and some hard work!

Storing Stock Tune:
Just for future info if you have an X2, X3, Livewire you should be able to store the stock
program on a PC. However itis supposedly a more involved process with the X2.
Evidently a pretty easy process on theX3 and Livewire when the unit is not already damaged.

What I posted earlier on the XCal2:

Ok doing some digging i found that you can get the stock tune off the SCT Xcal2 using the Xc2dump.exe application which comes with the livelink software....but from the SCT forum posts that i read you cant get that back onto the device yourself as it is in a encrypted format....the guys at SCT or dealers might be able to do it.....so you get a backup but cant do anything with it yourself.....

The Xc2dump.exe is not part of the livelink software either, it is a standalone app that comes with the livelink software though in teh livelink program files folder

Diablo gives you full control with the backup

Thanks Matt!

At any rate I now have a "Stock.EVX1.LBU" File stored on my PC in case something goes wrong with my X3.
If I cant reload it SCT can do it by remote.

Thanks for the help and advice from everyone who contributed!

Edited to Add: I have gotten several PM'sto offer advice as well.
