Default Thinking of getting a cat back system

Any thoughts? Experiences? Any real increase in HP? The only other mods I'm likely to do will be a C+L CAI, Bama/SCT tune, 3.73s, and BMR springs.

You will not get much of an increase in HP. I went with Roush Off Roads, because they are typically louder then the other exhaust systems, and IMO sound so great. If you like Corsa, then you'd like Roush. Now, if you have an F/I, then you will see bigger amounts of HP increase. Right now, if I were to add a mid pipe say, I'd gain about 15+ RWHP. Good luck man.

Changed it.

The difference in HP between a cat back system vs. an axle back system is close to nothing. Cost wise, It might be best to stick with just aftermarket muffs. The stock exhaust on our cars is quite good.

i doubt you will pick up more than 10 by going to an o/r x pipe really....generally you get 20-25 from LTs and midpipe when you are FI

Decisions, decisions.....

First thought about axle backs, now I'm on the fence cause there's no HP gain, and I'm pretty happy with the way the car sounds, plus I don't really want to draw any more attention from the Man. Then I started thinking about maybe a cat back. I think it might make a difference in HP with the CAI and tune. I like what I've seen/heard about the Pypes mid muffler setup. But, I'm worried about interior noise/drone.

Thoughts on the mid mufflers?

I have seen Cobra's pick up 30 RWHP from an exhaust(mid-pipe_ Sure, they have a 4V. But, I still am Supercharged. Maybe only 10 from an Axle back, but we are talking about a Mid-pipe here.

I have never seen anyone claim of gaining HP from a muffler switch (FI or not) and back it up with a dyno.....same with 30 HP from a midpipe switch alone.....most people are extremely lucky to get 30 from LTs and midpipe....

Livernois did a back to back test with a GT500 and Corsa's....picked up 14 hp (from memory)
