Look what I came home to... MGW shifter w/ new black cue ball ****
I'm so freakin' giddy!! I cannot wait to get this thing installed tomorrow. From just feeling it and seeing all the supplied parts I can tell that this has to be the best engineered shifter for the S197. Nothing is compromised on this part. I'll be installing it tomorrow and will post up the pics/opinions of it.

How do you like the look of the new cue ball from MGW? I still have to decide if I should return my Hurst black cue ball and get the MGW one instead. Not sure if it's worth the return hassle and changing the order first thing Wednesday morning before it ships.

I have to say, it's gorgeous. Much nicer than the hurst. It's a one-piece unit and says that the chrome is applied at the same company that does harley davidson's plating. Top notch.
From what I can tell sitting here handling it (yes, I AM ready to get this thing in-car!) it's slightly larger than the hurst ball and fits thepalm better. Verrrrry nice.

Def'nitely. I cannot wait to get this shifter installed in my car! The whole thing just feels like quality. It's going to add weight over my Hurst for sure. It weighs probably three times what my hurst weighs. I'm going to take some video of the shift action of the hurst and also of the MGW. I'm guessing (and it's just a guess) the MGW is going to be much better.
Taken with a grain of salt though. This MGW cost me $375.00 w/ both shift handles and the nice ****. The hurst cost me $200.00.

One final pic before I sign off for the night. My gf left to go party (bless her heart ) and I'm going out to the garage to pull apart my h-pipe/exhaust system. I can't believe they even included an "installation" cd and labeled every part! Excellent product....
