I dunno man, doesn't seem like a smart financial decision. There's really no difference between an 05 and an 08 except if you option the 08 differently with colors and etc. I mean, if you kept your 60K stang in good shape it should run just as good as brand new 08... heck maybe it's even a little faster to 60 and on the quarter mile stock to stock.
If you're set on the new Mustang I'd just wait till late 09 when they roll out the refreshed Mustangs for the 2010 model year.

hear's a option for you, drive the 05 12 more month's to pay it off, wait till the 09's come out put 2-3 grand down on a 09 and keep your 05, your warranty good till 2010 on the 05 you can keep the 05 for a dd and the 09 for the weekend's keeping the mileage down on the 09 this way you can own2 mustangs!!and you wont lose any money tradeing inthe 05 at the dealer.
