I painted my washer nozzles over the weekend. I hated looking at those little black nipples on the hood so instead of getting a nozzle relocating kit, which would leave holes in the hood, I decided to color match them. It was easy to remove the nozzles. I applied two coats of adhesion promoter and thenthree coats of color and one coat of clear.

I'm also thinking about color matching the Sirius satellite antenna tumor on the rear decklid. With that, I'll have to sand down its grainy finish until smooth and then paint it.

I kind of like how my black nipples look on my white Mustang. Looks good though. Mirror housing next?

For the mirrors, I think I'm just going to get the color matched covers instead of going through the tedious task of sanding them smooth and painting them or I might decide to be different and get these paintable directional mirrors that are already smooth and paint them myself.

I think that is a really cool and subtle mod - the black nozzles really bug me. If some vendor was to offer painted washer nozzles I would buy a pair in a heartbeat. Ditto on the Sirius antenna.

i actually had the factory match my car to the washer nozzles,instead of painting the nozzles,they just did the car so they would match.

I don't remember where, but I'm pretty sure you can buy little covers for the washer nozzles which are matched to the factory S197 colors. Just pop 'em on and it's all taken care of.

I've only seen those covers in polished and satin but never color matched.
