Weird enough.. i have an old lady story also concerning my mustang.
Before i took it off the lot, i had put the top down to take a couple pictures, then went back inside to sign some paperwork.
When i came back out there was two older laddies sitting in it! The salesman got all nervous and went over to them and was like "excuse me laddies, but thats a customers car, not the dealerships" I went over to them cause it was really funny. They were very nice and expressed how much they loved my car. Then one of them looks at me and goes
"well atleast you know you can pick up old laddies in your car."
i about died laughing with them.

I had a similar thing when my stripes ([:'(]) were being applied. God only knows what a 85+ year old woman was doing scraping through the trim shop, but she was, she stopped (although it was hard to spot her stopping against the natural pause between steps) and said to the guy installing the stripes something like "Ooooh, I'd love to go for a ride in that".
It was kinda nice but also kinda freaky at the same time. We all smiled politely and shuddered in unison as soon as she was out of sight [8D]

So I guess it's a commun thing after all. lol.
My wife was with me and she didn't smile much[8D].
The idea of not having the Stang anymore, will not trigger her sense of humour.
