suspension bolts, etc: what's 1x use only?
hey guys!
i have a ton of suspension parts being installed soon, but every once in a while i'll run across a post mentioning not to reuse certain bolts, etc. when replacing certain things; now i'm worried. here's what i'm putting in:
1. tokico d-spec shocks/struts
2. eibach pro-kit
3. che k-member w/. torque limiters
4. spohn rear sway bar
5. oem gt500 tower brace
6. bmr relocation brackets
7. spohn lca's
8. bmr ph brace
9. spohn adj. phb
some of the above stuff did come with new hardware, i.e. the sway bar and the reloc. brackets (i think the k-member has new hardware too, but that's en route today), but anyway, what i'm wondering is this:
what parts are one-use only and must be replaced once i do the installs?
thanks for the help!

RE: suspension bolts, etc: what's 1x use only?
I don't see anything in your list which is one-fit-only.
Normally that applies to fasteners. Bolts etc, where they are torqued up to a point where the fastener distorts, like bolts which stretch. These you are supposed to throw away after one use.
Some of your items may use these, you'll have to check the install procedures.

thx for the reply, marcus!
so, perhaps the install instructions will specify when there is a one-use bolt or fastener? i'm hoping that any of these that i run across will have been supplied by the manufacturer with the part, but i'm glad that my list doesn't seem to have any.
any other thoughts anyone?

Regards the Front Suspension:
Here is a link to the Ford removal/installation instructions: http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forum...stallation.pdf
Note thatit mentionsto remove and discard: the Stabilizer Bar Link Upper Nut and the Strut to Spindle bolts and nuts. None of the parts you bought have these, they can be purchased thru a dealer or, for the strut to spindle bolts, you can buy the aftermarket camber adjustment bolts (~$30). These instructions don't say this but the Strut upper nut is also a one-time use item, however the D-Specs come with a replacement for this one.
How important is this? Only you can be the judge of that because its a safety issue. The theory is that these items are torqued so high it actually stretches the steel. Re-torquing streches them more and can possibly lead to failure.
I can't find the similar instructions for the rear but I think its safe to assume any bolt or nut that is torque over 85 lb-ft falls into this category.

Every suspension bolt/fastener is listed as 1 use only (lcas, sway bar, etc)...as long as you can retorq the bolt back to factory specs, you should be fine. Use blue loctite also
