RE: Pypes Viloator with X-Pipe vs H-Pipe
Neal, Dont change a thing on your exhaust besides your headers man, I was impressed when I heared ya car scream man,It even made the slp Lm sound itty bitty, lol. If anything go back to th o/r. I think with the h you may be dissapointed cause it does not scream at wot. Its loud yes but just dont got that scream. Im switching to x pipe so i can bust ear drums. Its not raspy either its more of a crackly sound as someone else stated on a diff thread, IMO I like it. when you rev that thing, it sounds serious, lol.
If you reallllllllllllly reallllllllllllly wanted we could toss in my o/r h in ya car to give you a idea , I have read that the headers dont really change the note very much.
p.s everybody was asking whos car that was in the video cause they were like dam listen to that thing.

The drone on my stingers with the O/R h-pipe is pretty bad at times.

Hopefully, 3.73s would get me out of the drone range.

Well as far as X or H. The X is more raspy and raises the pitch a little. An H will lower the pitch and be more of a growl.
I will say if you want an old school loud exhaust that isnt raspy I would go for the O/R pro chamber.
On my 99 GT I had shorty headers through prochamber to Dyno Max bullet resonators. It was Loud but had a great sound, not obnoxious. At least not to me .
And this is just my personal opinion but I am not a fan of LT headers for our cars. For a nice set you are looking at around $1500 plus PITA install or paying someone and you need a tune (more $$) and you will pick up 15-20 rwhp.
While that isnt insignificant for the money you arent getting alot of HP. I would say save the money for FI, or get a sick nitrous system(IE, all accesories and remote bottle opener) and run a 75-100 shot. It will cost alot less and be way more fun.
Good Luck
