My 2 cents: Try 87, because I know that the higher octane can mess with your car if it's not tuned for it. I know that did it on my old Volvo with the turbo. Accidentally stuck in 87 instead of 91 and it threw CELs all over the place.

higher octane will not do anything either....its not the gas people....it might the gas cap but unless it comes back, dont worry and go out and drive the car!
