I got the AUX adapter from logjam electronics and its a Godsent! Works perfectly, crystal clear sound, no issues to date.

That ebay link looks like a cheap knockoff IMO compared to the one I got.

I have the PIEfrd04 with the latest revision B12 & it works perfect. It came with b11 chip & I called them & they sent the newer revision & it has had no issues. I installed a female jack in the console like the 07 up models. One thing I did was to get the constant power from the radio feed as per discountcarstereo.com directions. Some have said that getting power from the power plug may cause problems cause the computer in the car powers it down after a while to save the battery. The radio has constant power to run the clock & maintain presets.

I too just orderd the frd04 to use with Sirius and iPod. Had a different version in my Explorer and it worked great, using 3.5mm connector. Downside is it doesn't charge iPod or control thru the radio, but upside is direct connection and can hook about anything to it.

The Axxess adapter work perfectly.. and you have full control of the iPod from the radio. Works with Shaker 500 and 1000. Bought from this guy on ebay who has insane feedback rating. He has awesome service. Unit is easy to install, all plug and play, and you can gat a unit with XM radio as well.

I'm curious about this too - I got an iPod Touch (iTouch) for Christmas and finally have it loaded up with my mp3's (nearly 10Gig's worth, 1566 songs) and want to connect it up to my Shaker500. The TripTunes info on Ford's page isn't very clear on just what you get for the $50. I can't imagine it being a complete kit for an 05-07 that didn't come with the AUX input ready to go.
