Certified used Mustang GT? OR NEW?

RE: Certified used Mustang GT? OR NEW?
have them _include_ the 3yr extended warranty in the price, then talk them down another grand or 2andrefuse to pay the bs "dealer handling fee".
05 gt's with expired mfr warranty to for like 15k or lessat dealer's auctions. autos are generally cheaper too.
used cars are bread'n'butter for the stealerships, make them alot more $$$ than new sales.

Then there is the other option... keep looking... you can get a used GT with WAY LESS miles. Many people buy these as fun cars and not daily drivers... then get tired of them and sell them on teh cheap with VERY LOW miles. Like my 2005 has 4,500 miles on it. Keep looking.

39,000 is a good amount of miles on a 2005. And that's about the time that things have to start being replaced! Fuel pumps, batteries, water pumps, etc. But at least you won't have to deal with the TPMS problems!
But I thought that Galpin Ford had Certified used cars for sale with even better warranties than the original ones!
Are you looking at a Ford dealership?

Did the 2005 not come out with the 60K mile powertrain warranty?

I purchased my 06 as a Ford CPO with about 7k on the odometer (had to have now and there were no new ones with a 5spd). Aside from the remainder of the factory warranty, they gave me a 6/75k powertrain warranty. It also came with a checklist of items they checked over (yeah right), I had it back to the Ford dealer in 1 week from purchase for bad battery and rear axle groan, battery was replaced and I decided to live with the tight clutch packs. Other than that I have not had any problems.

I'm pretty sure Ford does have a certified program so if they say it's "certified" (and it really is) then it should be warranted pretty well.
...but...that's too many miles for that price IMO; I'd def look for a 2007 leftover. There are some out there - in fact, I checked locally and within 10 miles of me there is an 07 GT with manual, leather, Sirius,"GT Upfitters pkg" for $29.9K sticker. That could prob be had for mid-$20K easy - I just got a new2007 GT for $6500 under sticker.
Fords website search bites cause it goes by zip codes (not distance/mile search) but just keep throwing zips in till you find something. Drive an08 locally to make sure you like it, then make email or internet offers on the 07 you find. Who cares if you gotta gopick it up? It's an awesome drive back - or at least it was for me.
Good luck.
