RE: Convertible Opinions
I picked up my 05 GT vert, 5 speed, premium, shaker 500for $23 with 6900 miles. It is flawless. And my wife and I both love it. We like it more than our 97 Cobra vert we had prior to this one.

RE: Convertible Opinions
As cool as convertibles can be, and as popular as they are becoming as collectors cars (50's and 60's verts are highly collectible), I just don't like the vert in the '05 - '08 mustangs. To me, the top of the coupe is what gives it its retro look, and the convertible top just doesn't have that same look. That is just my opinion, but you know, if I had a vert, I would probably enjoy driving it!

For 6 years nothing on my '06 Vert GT till last month when it got warm here and I thought I'd take her out for a "spirited run" in January, Northwest subs of Chicago. Noticed a rattle, is it the exhaust? cat heat shield? CROSS-MEMBER EXHAUST MOUNT? Not sure, anyone else hear a noise at start up, idle and between 1200 & 3200 RPM?
It does go away after the engine warms up which leads me to believe that after it get hot and expands it not as "loose" as it is when cold. Wonder if that'll be story when the temperature is in the 70's and 80's.

Convertibles have come light years . I am on my 3rd Mustang GT convertible. My present DD, a 2006 GT is the best car I have ever owned, and I'm 66 years old. I can't imagine owning anythig but a convertible. My wife drives a 2008 Miata and just loves it. It's her 2nd convertible.
