Never gone over 120 really? I couldn't image having a powerful beat like the s197 and not going 120+ at least once

I've been about 95 I think. I'd rather not risk a ticket.

the factory scoop doesn't contain a true opening so I don't think it's going to catch enough air to rip off of the hood, especially since it's bolted on there.

i've gone over 130 in my GT with a Roush scoop and I wasn't afraid of it going anywhere.. and that thing catches a lot more air inside of it.

my only concern is air catching under the hood and making it pop up at high speeds.. our cars aren't the most aerodynamic machines and the stoppers usually need a little tweaking to stop the hood from shaking up and down on the interstate.

ummm.... i just wanted to see where it will top out at. i got to 145mph and i started approaching cars on the interstate so i had to shut her down

You sir are nuts. Only place I'd go 145 outside of the salt flats is in my dreams. Top speed is rated at 143 so you were there.

85 is the fastest I've been in my mustang. no ticket is worth the alleged adrenaline of going that fast. the only time my car will be going faster is if...IF i take it to the track.

110 here --- and I never noticed the hood scoop on mine move at all. -- and I only did that once, just to test it out..it was awesome though. By the way it is not "stupid looking"... it looks exactly like what was on my sisters '69 Mustang. (except hers had the directional lights in it as well)
