Default Car out of comission.

So since i've had my 06 there has been a noise coming from the rear whenever i make low speed turns. I had it at the dealer about a year ago to to have a tsb service done to the rear clutch pack.. The noise went away for about 6 month and came back. Now my car is back at the dealer since wednesday and they are going to do a clutch pack replacement again. So i'm stuck with a Mazda 3 rental till around tuesday/wednesday of next week.... Is this a normal amount of time for this problem? Has anyone else had repeated problems with this noise?

Are you in too high of a gear at a low speed when turning?

Nope. It's like a low humming noise and only occurs when the car has been warmed up.. It won't happen when ive just started the car and been driving for 5 minutes or so. It usually takes like 20 minutes of driving then it happens.

The groaning diff packs are merely an annoyance. They work fine and it's certainly not a sign of iminent failure. Gee, I've had Fords with groany diffs on and off for 20 years !
The trick is to make sure they fit the updated clutch pack, the one with slits cut into it, this helps the fluid to get to the centre of the pads. I fancy they fitted the original type the first time round.

I took mine is for the TSB but paid extra and had them fit the Carbon GT500 LSD clutch pack. I never heard any rumours of those groaning (except from their overweight waistlines of course).

Ouch Marcus, you're such a bitch !!

Why is it taking them so long to get this fixed? This can be done in 1 day easy. Make an appointment for early in the AM and they should have it back to you the same day. 3, 4, or 5 days for clutch paks is crazy.

They better get it right after all the time they will have it.
