Default Steelership says after 15000 miles

I keep getting these stupid letters saying that i need to take my car in for serviceing.
I barely have over 3000 on a 07,So i go down to the dealership and ask what give's?
They said well its Ford mo company reminding you that in the future, come in and have your car serviced.
I told them that i changed the oil and filter @ 2700 miles with 5-20w Mobile synthetic, and the tech says no you shoudnt have done that because your rings will not seet properly,Thats why we use a blend !!!!!.
Is this true in any way ? The manual says break in time is 500 miles.
I think it is BS" Lexus comes stock with fully synthetic and BMW as well.

Oh by the way I just installed BBK shorties with Pypes violater Muffs,Next week is a C&L cai with atune from breenspeed.
I have an 07 GT Black with red int.
As soon as i get the camera working i will have some pics.

I want to thank you all for the good info,It has helped me lots.
PS...When you install headers,Have a friend tohelp you,or atleast a shoulder to cry on !!!!!!! Something i will never do again.

I've been running Royal Purple in my car for a while now and there are still no signs of a problem. It's probably just Ford trying to get out of honoring your warranty if something happens.

No there is some truth to what they are saying.....many people have said that you need to run the blend oil for a while and let the rings seat properly and such but after some milage you can switch to fully synthetic with no problems.....i waited 2 full oil changes with the blend and switched to RP with no problems. Now I am not saying that you will have problems but what they said did have some truth to it i think also.

They send the reminders , 30,000, 45,000 miles because they want your money. Have you seen the prices for those services? The cheapest I've seen is over $400. I ignore them for the most part.

this makes me think this is one of those circumstances where you don't say anything, just ask an open ended question... don't tell them what you do, just let them ramble their company line.

Some folks will tell you not to run synthetic during the burn-in simply as a matter of economics... its not the mechanics of the engine, rather the fact that you should change the oil fairly soon after burn-in. They don't want you to waste money on synthetic after 500 to 1000 miles.
