UDP and steering response
So since an UDP slows down everything, including the steering pump. does that mean the steering wheel is gonna be harder to turn. If it does i am gonna order it asap. I hate how soft turning the steering wheel is.

RE: UDP and steering response
The power steering pump works at full pressure
at a certain RPM (lets say 2000 RPMs). Any higher
RPMs and the fluid is bypassed thru a relief valve.
Once you reach the full pressure RPM, the steering
will be the same as before the UDP install. This RPM
will be about 15% higher than before the UDP install.

So what can i do to stiffen up the steering. other then taking the pump out ( which sounds tempting)

Since no 05+Mustang is sold with manual steering you`ll have to find / adapt a non factory unit.
The serpentine belt will still require a pulley to mounted in the P/S pump location so that it fits.
Fairly heavy car with a front end weight bias,so low speed steering will be "stiff" to put it mildly
I agree the stocksteering is soft and somewhat lacking in feel, but removing the pump is not really an option. JMO
