The Trufiber is pretty good IMO. All fiberglass hoods need work. Some more and some less. The Trufiber has a great fit and finish to it, but dont forget its fiberglass, youll always need some prep work. Hood pins are not a bad idea either.
I have a yellow stang like yours and I just love your hood....you got yours from trufiber I assume? Or elsewhere? I saw something like that on Cervinis site I think also. Not sure though.

thanks....and thats just sexy lookin

My Cervini, and pretty much every one else's that I've heard of, required little prep before paint. I would, however, purchase directly from Cervini and not a retailer like MrBodyKit.com.

What are the disadvantages to carbon fiber? Isn't it lighter? And Stronger? And only slightly more expensive, with no prep work?

I've been comtemplating getting a fiberglass hood, found a couple of sweet models including the GTS found at such places as mustangdepot.com and mrbodykit.com. I noticed that they all recommended hoodpins and gave numerous disclaimers about ill fitting, unsmooth textures and basically they couldn't be used with stock hinges. Was wondering if anyone had positive or negative experience with their fiberglass hood or any suggestions, thanks.
I have also been strongly contemplating a fiberglass hood, I called the dealership I bought my car from and they said they would only charge $200 to paint the hood but wouldnot guarantee anything since it was fiberglass. They told me the same as many others on the forum that it's a hit or miss game, some turn out perfect some need extra work.Good Luck!

Any fiberglass hood is going to require some brands are worse than others. We sell those made by Trufiber and Suncoast.

The Trufiber ones are on sale right now and you can get pricing in the exterior section of our online catalog.

Thanks!

Some Blocking is expected. Yes. But tell us what happens when the hood can't be fixed. I would like to know!
