I broke my side mirror today from the housing. The PDF said push up then pull down. I pushed up a little to hard. I had a bad rattle that I thought poking around wouldhelp ... I always learn the hard way. $121.00from ford dealership. I installed it myself really simple 121 just for the part!

Dude I have a housing I would have sold you for less than half of that. Should always post up a thread seeing if anyone has one for sale.

Removal And Installation


Can't remember what forum I found it on. It shows how to remove the glass.

I should add after I broke it I freaked out, it was Friday night I had to be at work on Monday. I tried to gorilla glue it but that didn't work so well. The dealership in my area had a mirror in stock so I didn't mind paying extra for it.


The mirror housing would vibrate against the mirror itself somewhere causing a rattle when listening to the stereo it was really annoying. Instead of going to the dealership to fix it. I hate going there soI wanted to take a look at it myself.

it's not the first thing I broke, i'm sure it won't be the last.

Geesh! You can buy the entire mirror assembly off of ebay from a parts company for less then $45 including shipping. They are the exact same assembly and mirror. I bought both sides and painted then in order to keep my original ones stock.

My friend bumped into mine last year and knocked it right off from the housing. Of course, he insisted on replacing it. But he bought it from Ford for $250 at the time [:-]
