I can't quote you any numbers but when I received my tune I went straight to the 93 octane and have been running it for a few months.. I recently switched down to the 87 octane tune and the car is noticably sluggish now in comparison :-(

You can run more timing in the tune when running 93 octanethanyou can in a 87 octane tune which will provide more power.

When buying the tuner you can get an 87 tune, 93 tune, and stock? Is that correct?

I have Brenspeed tunes 87, 89, 91. I worked my up to 91 over a couple weeks. I'd say the biggest difference I notice is at WOT. I thinkthe 91 octane tune runsnoticeably more timing at 3/4 to WOT. It kicks in kind of like a turbo. That's just my opinion, the way it feels. I don't know for sure.

Why would you even bother putting an 87 tune in? IMO if you are going to spend the money on a CAI and tune for the car, you should put the highest octane fuel in it available in your State. I just wouldn't feel right putting 87 in a car tuned for power.

Do you realize how much more 93 is going to cost you? It's almost nothing. Besides you'll get a little better gas mileage anyways.
