Default MAF housing material - important or not?

I'm planning my CAI install/dyno tune for this coming April. Yes, I know it's probably overkill but I'm interested in the pre/post numbers and I've got a really excellent speed shop 10 minutes from my office (http://www.tillmanspeed.com/). Anyway, my question is - does the material the MAF housing is made of make any realwold performance difference? I'm back and forth between the C&L street (like the look of that) vs. the Tunable Induction that John Demolet sells. The C&L has metal MAF housing and TI has plastic housing. I know theoretically the metal would be more prone to heat soak, but does this have any realworld effect on performance? Does the metal MAF housing really become a "hotspot" and lead to less accurate MAF readings (as the TI site claims)? Curious as to what the more engineering-minded folks on here think (Gene K and GT Bob come to mind...)
