RE: exhust system between a gt and a v-6
Other than 12 valves, 90 horsepower, and 2 spark plugs?
The GT has cutouts in the rear bumper for the exhaust to fit. Plus there is no "Y" pipe on a GT, we have dual exhaust the whole way out, with a perpendicular piece of pipe connecting the duals in the shape of an H just behind the cats.
If I'm not mistaken, you guys go into a Y.. So you need to split that Y back into two pipes to even have something to connect that dual exhaust to. And then, you'll need to deal with the bumper situation.

Search Button is your friend.
Posting in the right section is just as much your friend.
But, in either case, here's the answer:
In the V6s, you have 2 cats (catalytic converters) that go to what's called a Y-pipe, which turns your 2 pipes into one. From there, it goes to an over-axel pipe that goes into the muffler. The way to convert a V6 into a true dual system is to replace the Y-pipe with either an X-pipe or an H-pipe and get a second over-axle pipe and put them in the same spot as the GT pipe. You have to cut your bumper, put in the GT muffler, get a second pair of hangers from either www.americanmuscle.com or your local Ford Dealer, and place them all symetrical to your other muffler. Connect all the tubing, weld any holes, and viola.
True duals.
