Default Bad for the car?

So lately, parents have been making me pay for gas.. so i havent been going WOT everywhere, and ive been just shifting from 1st-3rd without using 2nd. Saves some gas

I told a buddy about it, and he said it was bad for the car, and that i should def use 2nd. true or false?

Thanks.

skip shifting is technically incorrect, but if your shifting into third and its not below 1300 or so your fine

I try to keep it above 1800 even with my 410s all the time....you can hear the car lugging.....low deep hum almost like drone

just use second, your not saving any gas by not using it. just shift at 2300-2600 rpm's and you should get 17-19 mpg like me!

Below what RPMs is lugging it? I cruise at like 45 in 5th, and that doesn't really seem like lugging it to me
