Now what? -Shaker, gas tank
So, the dealer changed my shaker 500 to a type B, but unfortunately the mechanic never got to see the TSB, since he didn;t download/upload the software correctly.
Now the radio shows failed self test with code B2477 and of course the background light is out.
What do I need to have done to the car to make it work again?
Upload factory settings for the software?
Also, the gas tank was changed, but the problem still exists.
Anyone else that got their tank changed and still are experiencing problems?
Thanks!

As far as the radio is concerned what I did was print out the TSB and walked into the dealership with it. They put it on the ticket to run the self test to guarantee the re-programming was done. Of course when I went to the car when it was finished I ran the self test and it failed with the same error you have. I walked back in and told him his technician did not complete the job. They finally got it right and all is well with mine.
I don't have the gas tank problem so I guess I'm fortunate there.

here is a thought...i don't necessarly believe it is the gas tank causing the issue..i had the problem happen once and went to a different gas station and it worked perfectly fine...i am starting to think that it is the gas stations becuase the pumps shut off when it senses the fumes are backing up..so i belive the problem lies in the gas stations having the pumps set to sensitive...another trick is to put the pump in the fuel door and spin it upside down..that works also..but i dont have the problem anymore so im not sure totally
as for my shaker 1000 it works perfectly fine

i live in northern new jersey Lugn...we cant pump our own gas here as usual...it is technically against the law which can be a pain if you dont want to wait for someone to come and pump it
