In 2007 Ford put a 5yr/60,000 mile powertrain warranty on all gas engines. I myself wont pay more for synthetic when I have that kind of warranty. Blow it up = get new engine! 05 and 06 models only have a 3yr/36,000 mile powertrain warranty
why would you even want to take that chance? damn, i love my pony way too much to be playing russian roulette motor oil style to save a few bucks regardless of any warrantees [&:].besides, after all of my mods, i'm sure it'll be way too easy for a stealership to deny any warranty claims just cuz.

You aren't taking chances if you run the Blend that came in our cars.

modern motors can take the switch from synthetic to regular and back. When synthetic first came out the seals in cars would swell and then when you change back to regular the seals would then shrink causing leaks all over the place. the seals they make today dont do this so its ok to switch back and fourth it doesnt damage at all. Now to the question of which is better, i use synthetic ever oil change. Hope i helped and any other questions please ask

You can even MIX the 2 to come up with your own blend since you don't know how much synthetic is in the Ford blended oil. I will suggest not much.

I never understand those who go cheap on oil/filters,gas,ect....you spend between 25,000-30,000 on a car...why would you put less then the best in it to save a few cents? Makes absolutely no sense to me. I never skimp on my car.

Some are financially challenged. They had the credit to buy the car, but no money left for brand name gas, or upkeep. Some aren't sold on the synthetic being better issue. Some just like to change their oil every 3000 miles just cause. Synthetic in that case would be a waste.

whatever you do, if you change it at 3,000 for a DD you're fine. I like the security of knowing that I have good oil in there, and that I am not even coming close to using it to its limits.

I use Redline 5W-20
A REAL synthetic [8D]

I agree. Peace of mind is worth something, especially if you plan on keeping this engine strong up to 300K miles.

Ford does not use FULL SYNTHETIC OIL. They use a synthetic BLEND.

JDM enginering who is big on the racing market uses only FORD MOTOR OIL. They do not reccomend using full synthetic even with supercharged motors.

Im switching back to the ford motor oil.

Ford uses full syn in the oil changes from the dealer. Synthetic oil meets and /or exceeds any requirements the maunfacturers require for motor oil! I have been using that since the first oil change. J
Not when I got my first oil change! They tried everything they could to talk me out of going full syn.

I guess I'm going to do my own from now on ... can get the oil (Mobil1) at Costco pretty cheap. Just have to figure out what filter I want to use.
