Royal Purple I heard was no good for the mustangs. The shop I go to said to only use Motorcraft synthetic blend.
not true
I've used RP 5W-20 w/ K&N oil filter since 1K miles its fine

but use what you want and please don't turn this into a RP vs. Red thread

The Walmart out here put Mobil1 in for me...And they put on a Motorcraft oil filter. Cost me $50 for everything, but I think it was well worth it, considering I didn't have to get dirty, and my jack stands are currently in use holding up my other project car (we're in the midst of redoing the entire suspension - shocks, replacing some leaf springs, ball joints, etc. so it's not like I can just put a tire back on and drop it down to get the jack stands free). Plus, I know the guys who work in the pit, they're friends of mine from high school and take care of my car when I come in...

I use Mobile1 full synthetic and a Motorcraft filteron my car. I do it myself, so the cost of the synthetic is the same as a regular oil with someone else doing it. I don't understand the concept of why use synthetic when you have a 60K warranty. I use M1 synth in all my cars andhave had outstanding results (most of my cars I have had forwell over 120K miles).

For me the constant in every car I own is changeto atleast a K&N drop in filter and switch to M1 synthetic... but that is just me...

The full synthetic makes the engine noiser actually. Thats why they dont use it. I actually was wondering why my motor was noisy.
