Default Specific Exhaust Comparison

In looking for some axle-backs, I'm mainly concerned about the following 5 criteria (in order of importance).

[ol][*]A throaty, agressive tone[*]A little louder than stock (i.e. not wake-the-neighborhood loud)[*]$$$$$$$[*]Little to no drone[*]Looks
[/ol]After reading some things on the forums (especially the "official S197 exhaust sound thread"), I think I'm looking at either the GTAs or JBAs (the 3", not the 3 1/2"). On a curosry glance, I was able to find the former for $324.95 and the latter for $289.95. This is about the range I'm looking to spend - would love to consider Corsa, but don't want to spend that much money.

My initial thoughts as few months ago favored the GTAs, but the more I research the more I like the JBAs; if I had to make a call right now, I'd say the JBAs.

I'm relying on the experience of the members on the forum to tell me if, based upon my criteria, I'm anywhere close on the axle backs that I'm looking for.

I'm also open to options I haven't considered yet, but I don't want to turn this into an "I have this...I have that...I heard this is good" thread. Not because those opinions don't matter, but because there is already more than enough of those threads out there. I'd like to try to stick to the criteria I outlined above.

As always, thanks for your help!

Well, going off your criteria, I'd say Pypes Violators fit very well.

[ol][*]A throaty, agressive tone - Very much so[*]A little louder than stock (i.e. not wake-the-neighborhood loud) - Not much louder at idle but deeper. Much louder at WOT[*]$$$$$$$ - About as inexpensive as you can get[*]Little to no drone - I experienced very minimal drone between 1800 and 2200 (which is now gone with the off road h pipe)[*]Looks - T304 staineless tips, and also sold entirelely as T304 stainless.

And a pic of one of my tips

So you don't want raspiness, or you do want raspiness?

I've had the GTA's on mine for a couple of months and a couple thousand miles now. I really like them. Just what I was looking for- more sound without being too un-neighborly. The 4" tips look great. There is no drone, but inside the car, they are in the background until you step on it.
Ninosport has them for about $280.

May be getting into what one person vs another really considers to be raspiness, but I'd say "no"
