Default Changing tunes, mixing octanes?

Hey guys, im switching to 91 tune just to have some fun before I pick up a gt in a couple weeks, problem is im running 87 with a half tank left. What would be the best procedure, waiting till E and tuning/filling up or can I do the mix?

Get it down to E 1st. Even then, there's still about a gallon left in the tank. You should be OK though.
If you hear any "pinging" you can always add some octane boost. Most people here actually suggest
you fill up with 91, run it to empty...fill up with 91 again and then load the tune. Which is safer really.

I would fill it with 91, then fill with 91 when its empty and then load the tune

yea drive it to E then fill it half with 91 so it dosnt take as long to drain down, once your on E again fill it all with 91 then re-tune it, if your goin to be picking up a gt a ping wont hurt anywayz.

Run it to empty.
Add 3 gal of Premium and runit to empty again
Fill up with Premium.

Just as an asideI get around 7% better mileage on myPremium Tune so that covers $0.20 of the price difference.
