How interesting and amazing! My Ford dealer, their leak fix contractor and the Ford Customer Service help line tell me that water collecting in the door sill is normal. Except they cannot tell me if it is normal if at sometime in the future it overflows the sill and runs into the carpet. The leak contractor said the design of the seals on the to back edge of door and body are not designed well enough to keep the water out and there is NO way to fix it.

Proud new 'Stang owner...2008 V6....and dissapointed leak victim....I had been wanting to get a Mustang for about a year and finally took the plunge. I've always had imports that naturally don't have these problems...jeez...I fortunately don't seem to have the swamp coming in from the cowl and only the minor door sill variety of leak. I am suspicious of the general damp atmosphere in my car though. It has rained almost every day since I got the car, so who knows? Anyway, I am off to the dealer in the morning and can't wait to see how they handle this. I shall have a copy of the TSB in my back pocket in case they play dumb. They get the benefit of the doubt for now....hopefully my second post will be raving about how my dealer took care of the issue and I can go work on personalizing my new baby...
