Oh great..now that you metioned the stripes..I can just imagine it. Damn it.....I might have to pick it up now....LOL

No pics, sorry.
Good post..............tell the dealer you'll take the car if they throw in the racing stripes. If he says he cant do that then you will have to be brave and turn around to walk out. ( a bluff)

Worth a try. The dealer needs to get the car off the lot.

Good luck

Yeah, this time of year, they really need a sale. Especially with gas prices and the recent stock market downturn.

Thanks for all the advice. I talked to the dealership around 5 pm last night (closing time) and they told me the price was good until Tuesday and that they would deffer my payments for two months (would give me time to sell the SRT-4). I am going to go to a couple of other dealerships with that price and see if they can beat it.

BTW...wifey and I looked a the car and she gave her approval. (not that I need it but if you are married, you understand what I am talking about).

Thanks again for all the advice.

That will still look good with some black racing stripes! Go to ford's website and you can view different colors of mustangs with add ons like stripes, body kits, etc. You can even pick a car cover as an option and it will show that. I thought that was kind of funny.

Oh, well that changes EVERYTHING!!! [8D] (haha, just kidding). Like I said before, use it as negotiating leverage to the car that you have in your mind as your perfect car. Don't settle when it comes to your stang if you can help it. You'll always feel that pang of longing whenever you see another car in the color that you want.

yeah...I have to admit...I'm really attracted to black...or vista blue...LOL.

think I might hold out and spend a little more to get what I want and not settle for what I can get.

Steve - I think thats a good decision. You'll still be able to get a good deal on exactly the color you want for a few thousand more at most - which won't add up to much on a monthly payment.
