I'd leave them alone.

But it does make me think... wouldn't the total cost go beyond the cost of buying the "real deal"?
I was actually wondering the same thing. Not that there is anything wrong with what you are doing. I was just curious. Ive been thinking about trading up to a 500 and while your car looks great, if the money were close I'd personally rather have the real deal with the correct paperwork, warrantee, etc. but if you're doing this as a personal project then more power to you. Looks great!

I appreciate your comments. Of course I'd also rather have the real deal, but I don't have $60k laying around at this moment. I can, howeverafford $1k here and there to step into the car slowly over the course of many years. I've added up all the components I will need and it totals about $15-17k, plus $30k for the vert GT. So by the time I'm totally done I will have invested about $45k into the car and had fun doing it! Of course, it will take me several years to be able to afford it. It will be a fun project car. Maybe my son will appreciate the hard work someday![8D]
