Ok, rear brakes were screeching, so I replaced the pads. For a day there was no squeek at all. yay. It was beautiful.

But one day later the screech is back and as loud as ever.

Anyone know what this could be?

Could be dust, or the pads vibrating. Did you use any anti-screech paste?

This is the first time I did the rear pads. I did the fronts thinking they were screeching, but turns out it was the rear.

yes, I used anti-screech lube. Maybe I'll just open up the calipers and lube them up again... I basically lubed up everything on the brakepad except the front (obviously). Should I be lubing up anything on the calipers?

How low did you let the old pads get? Is it possible that the rotor was gouged causing the pads to not sit flush?

Depending on the condition of your rotors, they may need to be cut.

yeah my hawk HPS have been extremely quiet after the first couple days or whatever...

hmmm, i guess ill get some new rotors. id rather not resurface. I think tomorrow I'll re-lube the pads and see what happens, then get new rotors.
