RE: In a very frustrating dilemma right now....
Mickey - Keep you exhaust set up, you will be hearing that every second of everyday when you drive. But you won't be hearing ur SC whineUNLESS you obviously go WOT. So since you will hear ur exhaust more on a daily basis (sp?) keep it if you like it alot.

I say go full stock or go to stock mufflers with same h-pipe. I know when I get my s/c thats what I will be doing going for a sleeper effect.

Go back to the stock midpipe, I'm sure the horsepower loss wont matter once you have the extra ponies from the supercharger. If you decide you miss the noise, swap it back.

As much as I Love the whine of a S/C I voted keep your setup...IMO its not worth the loss in HP and sound....Question though...I know you would never go whipple for obvious reasons(you own a Saleen) but is it true the whipple has a louder whine?

keep the exhaust setup the way it is, drive the car with the S/C for a while, if you really need to hear the whine, change some stuff around, but if it were me i'd rather hear the exhaust, nothing screamsmusclecar better than a loud @$$ exhaust

oh ya, i thought of another option,, trade cars with me then buy a new supercharger, my exhaust isnt that loud, you'll be sure to hear the whine[8D]

Thanks for all the comments guys, much appreciated. Simplex, the Whipple is louder, yes. I decided on the Saleen and will be going with the polished look (best looking blower out there IMO). I think I will just try and swap for the 3.4" or 3.2" pulley when I have the money for the supporting mods (injectors, fuel system, plugs, etc.). By then, the blower will hopefully be loud enough.

Mickey,
Your car is loud. I said keep it that way. If you want to hear the whine, turn off the stereo, tell everyone in the car to shut it, and FLOOR IT! I had the same problem. Right now I have Mac with a catted X but before that I had SLP LMs with the catted X (on a Termie)......SCREAMER. I could barely hear my SC. The only way is to SLAM on the Gas!....your other option is leave you car as is, in regards to exhaust, and install your Saleen SC and when you want to heara whiney!SC.....hit me up lol...i am sure you can hear my whine! I will even fly by you if you want
